Growing up in the 'burbs of NYC, Alex James was drawn to the raw energy of the ‘90s streets, finding comfort in the company of local graffiti writers, skaters, starving artists, straight-edge kids, punks, and the queer community. This immersion in underground subcultures cemented his passion for streetwear and alternative culture—elements deeply embedded in the DNA of PLEASURES.
