Kobermann is a Vienna-based electronic music producer, live act, and label owner of A.T.C. Records. Deeply embedded in the Austrian underground, Kobermann’s sound relies heavily on industrial-tinged sonic architectures, raw tape manipulation, and hardware-driven experimentation. Following his critically acclaimed release XVII which paid structural homage to Vienna's 17th district, Hernals his work continues to recontextualise classic sounds through a distinctly gritty, hardware-focused lens.

At its core, the album is a deeply nostalgic and personal body of work conceptualised around the "Industrieviertel" (Industrial Quarter) region of Lower Austria. Kobermann uses the 9 tracks to purposefully revisit his youth, honoring the specific era that was defined by the raw, burgeoning rise of new electronic music production possibilities.

The album masterfully delivers what the artist defines as "noisy-intoxicated, tape-saturated, delay-driven drum music." At every turn, traditional dub structures are heavily distorted and reinterpreted, filtering classic roots rhythms through a raw, industrial, and highly mechanical framework.

Tracks like "Dub Mahal," "Schaberdub," and the title track "Industrieviertel" showcase a hypnotic obsession with hardware mechanics and analogue decay. Rhythms are intentionally sunken into deep wells of tape hiss, metallic delay, and cavernous reverbs that create a dense, unvarnished, and claustrophobic atmosphere.

The production relies heavily on an intentionally unpolished, live-recorded texture. Across long, slow-burning compositions like "Inner Space" and "GZSZ," Kobermann weaves subtle modular synthesizer modulations, static electricity, and gritty machine noises that feel both mechanical and humanly organic.
