the Violet Veil EP marks the debut release from Larkhall
Paul, an exciting new talent from Bath, showcased by DI
Co-owner 16 Faces. This collaborative project dives into
the realms of UK bass experiments, offering a fresh and
compelling sound.
Mastered by the talented brothers at Tangible Air, the EP
boasts a heavyweight low end that enhances its
exploration of mysterious and secret prophecies, said to
echo through the ancient town of Delphi.
Each track is unified by the ambiguity of its garage-style
chopped and screwed vocals, along with funk-infused
purple synths, pads, and a rumbling low end—perfect for
a ritual club experience.
One part Neo-Grime, one part Bristol’s purple-step, with
just a dash of autonomic sexiness, Behind the Violet Veil
presents a unique sonic journey.
